11-05-10: NaBloPoMo, Day 5

For today's post I thought I would share with you some more pictures from Amie's senior photos session. I am still working on editing them (I just finished the basic editing and now am playing in Photoshop with some of them), and here's what I worked on today:

11-04-10: NaBloPoMo, Day 4

I had the opportunity to play with some super-adorable kittens tonight. Here is a picture that I took of one of them. They were so cute and I wanted to bring one or both of them home. Someday I am going to get a cat, I have decided. :)

It is impossible to keep a straight face in the presence of one or more kittens.

11-02-10: NaBloPoMo, Day 2

Just a short entry today to say how much I enjoy driving around listening to Christmas music. What makes it even better is when I am driving around listening to Christmas music and the roads are much safer due to the lack of snow or ice. Now, don't get me wrong, I like snow, but I strongly dislike ice, and driving on either is definitely nowhere near the top of my list of things I enjoy doing. So listening to Christmas music while I drove, and not having to worry about treacherous road conditions was certainly nice.

And yes, I was listening to Christmas music on November 2. Just a little bit, I promise. :)

11-01-10: NaBloPoMo, Day 1

You may have heard of NaNoWriMo. That stand for National Novel Writing Month and the goal is to write a novel of a certain length during the month of November.

Some of us probably would never be able to finish a novel within a one month period, so for us there is NaBloPoMo - National Blog Posting Month.

The point of NatBloPoMo is to post daily on your blog. I am going to do my best to post daily, although I reserve the right to miss a day here or there and make it up. *grin*

Today I thought I would share with you a quote I came across this evening:

The Pilgrims made seven times more graves than huts.  No Americans have been more impoverished than these who, nevertheless, set aside a day of thanksgiving.
~H.U. Westermayer

And for Thankful Thought #1 (I hope to share several Thankful Thoughts between now and Thanskgiving):

I am thankful for the fact that leaves change colors and leave us with something truly beautiful in the fall.

More Photos!

I took a few minutes to edit some more pictures from last week's senior session with my friend Amie. Here's three new pictures. More to come. . .eventually. :)

But It's Still October!!!

Rumor has it that some towns north of us received snow this morning. And apparently the ski mountains are getting quite a bit. All we are getting is rain. I am not ready for snow quite yet - it is still October!

I did hear Christmas music in WalMart today. Granted, I was in the seasonal section (looking for caramels on the Halloween candy aisle) and they were setting up Christmas merchandise, but still...Christmas music in a store in October? NOT YET!!!!!!! I love Christmas, and I have done some of my Christmas shopping already, but it is not time for Christmas music in stores. In my room, one or two songs just for the heck of it, sure. But not when I am out and about. :)
