Sound of Music
"The Sound of Music" just happened to be on TV tonight. I'm still not quite sure how "My Favorite Things" became a Christmas song or why they are showing the movie for Christmas, since I'm pretty sure that Christmas is not mentioned once in the movie, but I just gotta say that I think "The Sound of Music" is quite possibly the best movie ever made......Julie Andrews & Christopher Plummer? Amazing actress/actor. And those children? Excellent. And the music and singing? My favorite. Yep, I love the movie (and have most of it memorized). :)

Christmas #22 - 2008.
Not an "official" Christmas picture, but it counts as it was taken a few days before Christmas! :)

25 Years of Christmas - Part 21
Christmas #21 - 2007.
Unfortunately while I have pictures from this Christmas, none of them have me in them. That is one of the problems of being behind the camera. Hehe. :)

Book Review: Love Lifted Me (Sara Evans)
Max loves Jade, and Jade loves Max, but he’s going to have to prove himself to regain her trust. In Love Lifted Me, the third book in the “Songbird” series, Born to Fly artist Sara Evans tells the story of how Jade learns to forgive and trust again. For those of us who came into the series with this book, there was plenty of background information to explain why the characters felt the way they did towards life and towards each other.
Max and Jade learn to lean on each other and on the Lord when Max decides to take a job coaching football in Texas. Though others attempt to sabotage Max’s career, Jade and Max hold fast and persevere, realizing that this is where God wants them.
This book features a Reading Group Guide at the end with some discussion questions for those who want to perhaps read the book and discuss it with others….or just for the reader to ponder upon finishing the novel.
I enjoyed this book….in fact, I received the book and read it in its entirety in the same day (all 288 pages!)! I would like to read it again after reading the first two books in the series so I could get the true flow of the story. I had no idea that multi-platinum country recording artist Sara Evans could write, but she has written an enjoyable book with delightfully endearing characters that you are sad to say goodbye to at the end of the story.
*I received this book as part of Thomas Nelson's Book Sneeze program in exchange for an honest review.*
This song is for a dear friend of mine who has been through a lor of unexpected changes in her life this year, and yet has used each of the experiences to grow and has definitely become "a little bit stronger" through the whole thing.
25 Years of Christmas - Part 20
Christmas #20 - 2006.
I worked at a local bakery this Christmas (I actually worked there for about 4 Christmases) and we took this picture of some of the girls during our Christmas party. We were given matching shirts for Christmas so it was fun for all of us to wear them for the picture!

25 Years of Christmas - Part 19
Not sure where Christmas pictures from 2005 (Christmas #19) ended up, either. Too bad. I remember being very excited about my last Christmas as a high schooler. I don't remember why I was so excited, I guess I just felt like Christmas might be different after that and I wanted to enjoy it. :)

Merry Christmas, Brother!
This is the first time since I was 2 years old where it is just going to be me and my parents for the holidays, and I just gotta say, I'm sure missing my brother right about now!!!

Favorite Christmas Songs, Pt. 4
This song is one of my favorites off of Josh Groban's "Noel" album. I love the choir in the background. :)

Unfortunately after digging through our external hard drive, I couldn't find any pictures from the next several Christmases. I am sure we took pictures, just not sure where they have ended up.
Stay tuned....more pictures to come in a few days.

Favorite Christmas Songs, Pt. 3
You probably should've guessed that something from Michael Buble was going to make it onto my list of favorite Christmas songs this year. Especially with the release of his new Christmas album that I absolutely love!
Here's one of the songs that is kind of fun to listen to:

This was clearly my awkward stage. I refrained from posting the picture with the really embarrassing outfit choice, and chose to go with the St. Lucia picture instead. :)

Favorite Christmas Songs, Pt. 1
I love Christmas music! I start listening to it in October or November, but I'm pretty sure I could mix it into my playlists all year long and be just fine with that.
As usual, I thought I'd share some favorite Christmas songs with you. If you're trying to find some songs to add to your Christmas playlist, keep checking back for some of my favorites.
To kick it off, here's one of my favorite "fun" Christmas songs:
Snoopy's Christmas by The Royal Guardsmen

25 Years of Christmas - Part 1
This is my 25th Christmas. There are also 25 days in December leading up to and including Christmas. So I thought it could be fun to share a picture from each year I have been around for Christmas. I'm actually not sure if I have pictures from every Christmas - at least not easily accessible - but I will share pictures for the years I have. :)
To start it off, here is Christmas #1: 1987.
